Central is a new Pop Warner tackle football league, based in Independence, Missouri and founded in 2011. It offers football for kids in Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas as well as Kansas City, Belton and Grandview, Missouri. This league currently operated in conjunction with Heart of America Pop Warner in Independence, Missouri, but plan to grow into an independent league. Children ages 5-13 are invited to play, but certain weight restrictions do apply. Contact the league via email.
The GFL is comprised of teams from St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson, Lincoln and Warren Counties. These include Chesterfield, O'Fallon, Mid Rivers, Jefferson, Troy, St.Charles, Wentzville, New Melle, Warrenton, Hazelwood, Kirkwood, Columbia, Normandy and others. Kids in grades 2-8 are invited to play.
Heart of America is the largest and oldest Pop Warner league in the state with over 40 years experince. Participating communities include Blue Springs, Fort Osage, Independence, Kearney, Lee's Summit, Liberty, North Kansas City and Park Hill. Midland has includes teams from Savannah, Maryville, Platte County, Jefferson County, Northside, Southside, Maysville, Mid-Buchanan, King City, Mideast, Hamilton and Atchinson. Contact the league by email.
This full contact, tackle league is run by Moberly Parks & Recreation. Children in grades 3-6 age elligible. The NSYFL has been operating in the Kansas City area since 1962. It is a tackle football league for kids in grades 3-8.
The SYFL was founded in 1992 for kids in grades K-7. This is a full contact football league broken down into 4 age divisions. Weight limits are enforced.
The SMYFL was founded in 2008 to serve the youth football community in Braymer, Cameron, Excelsior Springs, Gallatin, Lathrop, Lawson, Orrick, Plattsburg and Polo. The league is open to kids in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. Contact the league at 816-630-0708 or via email.
