The AAYFL was founded over 50 years ago. It serves Andover, Annapolis, Brroklyn, Cape St.Claire, Chesapeake, Crofton, Ft.Meade, Generals Highway, Harco, Harundale, Maryland City, Old Mill, Pasadena, Severn, Severn Park, South River as well as several other communities. It offers flag and tackle football in a variety of weight classes up to unlimited for kids 4 to 14 yeas old.

Charles County Parks & Rec runs a youth tackle football league with teams from Hughesville, Indian Head, La Plata, Southern Maryland Youth Association (Bryans Roadarea), St. Charles, Waldorf and Westlake. This is a coed league for boys and girls aged 5 to 14. There are several weight divisions from up to an unlimited division. The GBYFL is for kids from 5 to 13 years old. It serves the communities of Loch Raven, Middle River, Northwood, Overlea, Pikesville, Randallstown, Cockeysville, LTRC, Owings Mills, Parkville, Perry Hall, Stembridge, Baltimore, Dundalk, Edgemere, Turners Station, Towson, Gardenville and Holy Dirt. Based in Clinton, Maryland, the GMYFL provides the communities of Maryland and Northern Virginia both spring flag football and spring tackle football. These communities include District Heights, Laurel, Hyattsville, Leonardtown, Pax River, Patuxent, Unity, Accokeek, Kentland, MAYFL-OC, Montgomery Village, Ridge Road, Banneker, Kingman, Takoma, Takoma Park and others, Children from ages 5 to 15 are eligible for flag; ages 8 to 14 are eligible for tackle. Howard County runs its NFL-affiliated flag football league from Columbia. They actually have a fall flag football season, a winter flag football season and a spring flag football season. In addition, they offer tackle seasons in both the fall and the spring. Teams are from Elkridge, Ellicott City, Laurel, Howard County and Western Howard County. The MMYFCL is a massive league for players ages 6 to 13 in six different divisions. They have multiple teams from Columbia, Ellicott City, Elkridge, Maplewood, South Germantown, Sykesville, Bowie, Silver Spring, Olney, Damascus, Linganore, Oakdale, Urbana, Woodlawn, Arbutus, Reisterstown, Westminster, Winfield, NorthCarroll, Clarksburg, St.Peters, Columbia, Gaithersburg, Hampstead, Poolesville, Laurel, Frederick, Catonsville and numerous teams from Howard County. Mountain Valley hosts teams from Boonsboro, Brunswick, Catoctin, Frederick, Hagerstown, Gamber, Middletown, Mt.Airy, Tuscarora, Walkersville and Taneytown, Maryland in three divisions.

Established in 2006, Potomac is an unlimited weight league for kids 6 to 14. The league sports teams from Maryland (Montgomery, Prince Georges, Calvert, Charles, Ann Arundel), DC and Virginia (counties of Arlington and Fairfax and cities of Alexandria and Falls Church). Rockville overs tackle youth football for kids ages 6 years old up to the 8th grade. For 6,7 and 8 year olds, flag football is available. Some weight restrictions apply. The largest NFL-affiliated flag football league in the state, the SMYFFL serves boys and girls in Charles County and all of southern Maryland. Kids ages 5 to 17 are eligble to play. The UCYFL serves 8 to 13 year olds in Harford, Cecil and Baltimore Counties, with ten teams from Aberdeen, Bel Air, Cecil County YMCA, Edgewood/Joppatown, Emmorton, Fallston, Harve de Grace, Hereford, Jarettesville and North Hartford.
